ANTZ Social Value Awards 2017

On Friday, 22nd September 2017 ANTZ President Martin Ainscough CBE & ANTZ Director Daisy Dixon presented seven ANTZ Social Value Awards (during the 2017 ANTZ Ball at Worsley Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club).

The ANTZ Social Value Awards are aligned to the ANTZ six proven ways of delivering social value, which enables organisations, to grow and give back to our local communities. Those six proven ways are through TIME, SPACE, JOBS, WORK EXPERIENCE, MONEY & PROCUREMENT.


Europia Recognised for Giving TIME

By giving TIME to others, this award recognises a charity, who help people in need and empowers them to reach their potential.

By giving their TIME to others this charity enables people to connect, train, integrate and prosper in their community or work place.

Representing European expats across Greater Manchester, the winner of this award celebrates diversity and inclusion for all people.

Collecting the award on the evening was Kush Chottera, Executive Director of Europia.


Sodexo UK & Ireland Recognised for Giving SPACE

This award recognised a business that has over 50 years’ experience of improving quality of life.

They give SPACE and working collaboratively with two local Greater Manchester businesses, which has enabled the delivery of two offender related projects.

Firstly, "Through The Gate": Which has reduced reoffending by 60%. Followed by "Working It Out": A prison print shop, which creates opportunity’s, development and training for men in the prison.

Without giving SPACE these projects would not have been possible.

Collecting the award on the evening was Helen Timm, Helen Timm for Sodexo UK & Ireland.


Elle R Leisure Limited Recognised for Giving JOBS

This award recognizes a family run business, which serves and employs locally, they treat and value their staff as family and are keen to address the under representation of female staff within the catering sector.

Project Okra has been addressing this in-balance and saw 7 women progress through accredited training into work experience and then into employment, delivering much need JOBS to women in our communities. Their growth in Greater Manchester is a reflection of their high standards of service, an ethos and culture, that reflects business growth and give back.

Collecting the award on the evening on behalf of Elle R Leisure Limited was ANTZ Manchester Director John Chapman.


Community Social Inclusion Network (CSIN) Recognised for Giving WORK EXPERIENCE

Giving WORK EXPERIENCE even if it’s just for one week, can help restore an individual’s self-worth and confidence, this award recognises a charity who have given WORK EXPERIENCE opportunities to over 350 people.

This charity exists to help socially excluded people and communities overcome inequality and disadvantage. Supporting their participants into employment has had a profound effect on their confidence, motivation and empowerment and therefore assisted them to integrate into society while building and strengthening the core British values of our society.

Collecting the award on the evening was Joe Barnwell, Director CSIN.


Docutech Office Solutions Recognised for Giving MONEY

Giving MONEY in a directed and sustainable way can transform social value, this award recognises a business that understands and delivers transformation services to the community.

Passionate about supporting local people into business and back into work, they have just spent over £150,000 on their "Working It Out" prison print shop creating opportunity’s, development and training at HMP Forest Bank in Swinton.

Buying your print locally and socially from the prison, enables a sustainable model for our communities.

Collecting the award on the evening was Jason Dixon, Docutech Office Solutions Managing Director.


Atos UK & Ireland Recognised for Commitment to Social Value PROCUREMENT

Social value within a supply chain, changes culture and people.

It is without doubt the most effective way to grow and sustain our local communities and economy.

This award recognises a business who after two years of successfully delivering a professional mentor project, have recently expanded their offer into London and have successfully engaged their supply chain to become participants of the programme, changing perceptions, opening up new path ways to communities and changing lives.

The impact isn’t just on the participants but shared learning that can help the businesses within the supply chain understand what life is like for someone from another community.

Collecting the award on the evening was Valerie Elliott, Director of Customer Engagement and Business Change for Atos UK & Ireland.
